Carlisle has your typical resturants like Red Robin, Applebee's, and Chilli's. However, there are a few locally ran resturants that may tickle your fansy. Two of them, Market Cross Pub and North Hanover Grill, offer some of the best Amerian bar and grill food in the area. For more of your dinner type resturants you have, The Hamilton and The Carlisle Dinner. All these resturants will give you the fill your looking for.
Places to See
The Carlisle Barricks was established in 1757 and is the second oldest army post in the United States. It is now know as the Army War College.
The Amry Heritage and Education Center is a historical repository and research facility. This is a great museum for all ages. Offers indoor and outdoor activites and displays. This site gives you great background of all wars and has area's you can walk thru like, towers, bunkers, and trenches. Must see!!
Shopping
There is lots of shopping to be done in Carlisle. Some of these include Antiques on Hanover St, The Garden Gallery, The Whistlestop Bookshop, and Yellow Breeches Outfitters. Most people do not realize how much shopping there is in downtown Carlisle but it actually offers a wide variety of vendors. Come check it out!
